Torpedowiec typu Lew 1925-1926 (4 szt.)
No i mamy
w końcu torpedowce, na temat których toczyła się tak ożywiona dyskusja dwa
miesiące temu. Pierwotnie w planie było 6 jednostek, ale z uwagi na pewną
kontrowersyjność projektu, ograniczyłem serię do 4 okrętów. Jeśli się sprawdzą
to jeszcze kilka dobudujemy, jeśli nie, … to nie.
Dla
uzyskania wysokiej prędkości zaprojektowano smukłe kształty kadłuba oraz zamontowano
stosunkowo silną jednostkę napędową. Ponieważ parametrami wiodącymi dla tych
jednostek są prędkość i uzbrojenie torpedowe, pozostałe nie prezentują się zbyt
imponująco. Uzbrojenie artyleryjskie i pop jest raczej skromne, a zasięg
niewielki. Udało się uzyskać niezłą – porównywalną do niszczycieli – dzielność
morską, słaba jest natomiast wytrzymałość konstrukcji.
Jednak
wszystkie wymienione wyżej zalety i wady należy rozpatrywać w kontekście
przeznaczenia okrętów tego typu. Obszarem ich działania jest południowy i
środkowy Bałtyk, a rola wybitnie ofensywna. Celem żegluga nieprzyjacielska i duże okręty bojowe. Zakładaną dla nich taktykę można krótko opisać
kolokwialnym zwrotem: „doskocz, przyp… i odskocz” Nie przewiduje się natomiast
dłuższych działań w cięższych warunkach pogodowych.
