Założenia do projektu pancernika typu Władysław Łokietek (BB-4 1923)
Niedawno
miała miejsce na blogu dyskusja na temat charakterystyki planowanego
pancernika.
W
związku z tym – choć z pewnym opóźnieniem – prezentuję aktualne założenia tego
projektu w formie raportu Springsharpa. Uprzedzam, że z uwagi na fakt, iż
budowa pancernika jest już mocno zaawansowana, istotne zmiany - nawet dobrze
uzasadnione – nie będą już możliwe.

Po wykonaniu rysunku,
niektóre parametry mogą ulec drobnym zmianom.
W
porównaniu ze swoimi odpowiednikami (USS Colorado
i IJN Nagato), okręt sytuuje się
„pośrodku” Np.: uzbrojenie główne ma identyczne w stosunku do obydwu; jest
trochę wolniejszy od Nagato, ale
znacznie szybszy od Colorado;
opancerzenie ma troszkę lepsze niż Nagato,
ale słabsze niż Colorado; no i
oczywiście uzbrojenie plot posiada silniejsze od obydwu. Ogólnie wartość
jednostki jest porównywalna z ww. odpowiednikami, a okręt może stanowić
wartościowy składnik floty aż do lat 40-tych tego wieku.
