Ponieważ
flota nasza wciąż się rozwija, także ilościowo i wszystkie już okręty są
napędzane paliwami płynnymi, zaszła konieczność budowy kolejnego tankowca, aby
uniezależnić się w tym zakresie od ewentualnego wsparcia zbiornikowców
„cywilnych” Nowo zbudowany tankowiec
jest największym w naszej flocie i jednym z większych na świecie.
W
porównaniu do naszych starszych tankowców, jednostka ta jest znacznie bardziej
zaawansowana technicznie; posiada m.in. możliwość tankowania innych okrętów w
marszu (z umiarkowaną prędkością i przy dobrej pogodzie, oczywiście). Całkowita
pojemność zbiorników to 11 300 t różnych paliw (olej opałowy/mazut, olej
napędowy/dieslowski, benzyna, nafta/kerozyna).
Uzbrojenie
okrętu mieści się w naszych standardach dla okrętów pomocniczych, prędkość jest
typowa dla tankowców zaopatrzeniowych, a zasięg umożliwia współpracę z okrętami
bojowymi na najodleglejszych akwenach. Rozmiary i kształt kadłuba dają bardzo
dobre właściwości morskie.

Sądziłem,
że taki sobie okręt pomocniczy to „machnę” w kilka godzin, a zajęło mi to dwa
dni. Wszystko z powodu ambicji, aby umieścić na rysunku maksimum szczegółów.
Kiedy już rozrysowałem wszystkie rurociągi, pompy, zasuwy i węzły instalacyjne,
nałożyłem na to przebiegający wzdłuż okrętu pomost i większość mojej pracy pod
nim znikła, prawie się rozpłakałem :(. JKS,
