Niszczyciel typu Evertsen 1926-1927 (8 jednostek)
Pierwsze niderlandzkie niszczyciele, w
pełni zasługujące na zaliczenie ich do tej klasy. W momencie wejścia do służby,
zaliczane były do niszczycieli średniej wielkości.
O
zadaniach, jakie przed nimi stoją rozpisywać się nie będę; są one takie same,
jak dla niszczycieli wszystkich flot. Z jednej strony eskortowanie i zwalczanie
OP oraz mniejszych okrętów nawodnych (niszczyciele, torpedowce itp.), a z drugiej,
wykonywanie ataków torpedowych na większe okręty, od krążownika począwszy wzwyż.
Okręty
nr 1, 2, 5 i 6 zostały zbudowane w stoczni Wilton-Fijenoord w Schiedam, nr 3 i
4 w stoczni De Schelde we Vlissingen, a dwa ostatnie (nr 7 i 8) w stoczni
Willemsoord w Den Helder.
Opis techniczny.
Kadłub
Dość typowy dla niszczycieli, z
uskokiem dziobowym. Nowością jest jedynie zakończenie rufy niezbyt szeroką
pawężą.
Napęd
Wszystkie okręty zostały wyposażone w
cztery kotły olejowe Cockerill w dwu kotłowniach. Jednostki posiadały po dwie
maszynownie, a w każdej jedną turbinę parową z przekładnią. Dla pierwszych
czterech okrętów turbiny dostarczyły zakłady Werkspoor, a dla pozostałych
Westoever.
Uzbrojenie
Niszczyciele otrzymały następujący
zestaw uzbrojenia:
- 3xIx120/50
Bofors/Wilton-Fijenoord P1925, przy elewacji maksymalnej 30o
donośność pociskiem HE 24,00 kg wynosi 19500 m;
- 1xIx75/60
Bofors/Wilton-Fijenoord P1926, przy
elewacji 45o donośność pociskiem HE 6,50 kg wynosi 16000 m, a przy
elewacji maksymalnej 85o donośność pionowa tym samym pociskiem
wynosi 10600 m;
- 4xIx13,2/78
FN P1919;
- 2xIIIxwt533;
- 2xwbg
z zapasem 36 bg.
Działa 120/50 oraz 75/60 to nowe,
pierwszy raz w niderlandzkiej flocie użyte konstrukcje.
Do kierowania ogniem zainstalowano
dalmierz optyczny o bazie 2,6 m.
Opancerzenie
Działa 120 mm zostały osłonięte
maskami o grubości 13 mm.
Inne
Okręty zostały wyposażone w cztery
radiostacje oraz szumonamiernik.
