Nie
licząc „pierwowzoru” dla konstrukcji kadłuba, czyli patrolowca typu Kormoran, jest to pierwszy okręt z
„rodziny” projektu PU-450.
Jednostka
przeznaczona jest na Bałtyk, „w porywach” na przybrzeżne akweny Morza
Północnego. Posiada dobre właściwości morskie, stosunkowo dużą szybkość i
nienajgorszy zasięg. Uzbrojenie jest wystarczające dla stawianych przed nią
zadań, a wszystkie „lufy” mają możliwość prowadzenia ognia plot. W razie
potrzeby okręt może zabrać na pokład do 20 min morskich (na rysunku nie pokazanych).
Myślę, że po wprowadzeniu do służby jednostek tego typu,
siły trałowe na Bałtyku będą wystarczające i niewymagające uzupełnienia lub
odnowienia do połowy lat 30-tych. Tym bardziej, że rozminowywanie akwenów
bałtyckich ze „spadku” po Wielkiej Wojnie praktycznie dobiegło końca.
