Krążownik ciężki typu Warszawa 1925-1926 (2 szt.)
Pierwsze
naprawdę nowoczesne ciężkie („waszyngtońskie”) krążowniki w naszej flocie. Wzorem
(późniejszych trochę) krążowników brytyjskich i amerykańskich postawiłem na
siłę ognia i grubość pancerza, kosztem prędkości.
Tradycyjnie
okręt posiada bardzo silne uzbrojenie plot, za to skromniejsze torpedowe. Pewnym
ewenementem jest wyposażenie wszystkich (a nie co drugiej) wież artylerii
głównej w dalmierze; umożliwia to w przypadku zniszczenia centralnego (i
zdublowanego) systemu kierowania ogniem, indywidualne namierzanie celów.
Dzielność
morska jest umiarkowana, wynika to ze smukłych kształtów kadłuba,
umożliwiających osiągnięcie żądanej prędkości przy znacznym obciążeniu
artylerią i opancerzeniem.
Jednostka
ta (za wyjątkiem krążownika-jachtu Korona)
jest pierwszym w naszej flocie krążownikiem wyposażonym w wodnosamolot
rozpoznawczy.
Projektując
tę jednostkę zwróciłem dużą uwagę na wzdłużne zrównoważenie ciężarowe oraz zapewnienie
możliwie szerokich sektorów ostrzału dla artylerii średniej i małokalibrowej.
Moim
zdaniem okręt charakteryzuje się niską, zwartą sylwetka, a ogólny wygląd jest
dość elegancki. Myślę, że przy wszystkich wadach i zaletach tego projektu,
udało mi się stworzyć silny i nieźle zbalansowany krążownik.
Planuje
się utworzenie dwóch eskadr krążowników w składzie jednego krążownika tego typu
i dwu typu Kołobrzeg w każdej.
Skuteczność działania takiej formacji potwierdziły w czasie IIWS m.in. bitwy u
ujścia La Plata i koło Nordkapu (zatopienie Scharnhorsta).
PS. W
kontekście trwającej na blogu dyskusji, ukazanie się tego posta może podziałać
jak dolanie oliwy do ognia i być potraktowane jako prowokacja. Niemniej okręt ten był już wcześniej planowany i
awizowany, więc ta zbieżność w czasie jest przypadkowa.
