Oto owoc dość bogatej dyskusji sprzed kilku miesięcy. Nie ukrywam, że pomijając jego wartość bojową, okręt ten w dużej mierze pełni funkcję prestiżową. W każdym razie w przyszłości dalszych takich kolosów budować nie zamierzam.
Jednostka – stosownie do swej wielkości – posiada silne uzbrojenie torpedowe i artyleryjskie. Prędkość okrętu zarówno na powierzchni, jak i w zanurzeniu, pozwala skutecznie ścigać większość statków handlowych przeciwnika; a olbrzymi zasięg (plus duży zapas torped) pozwala na długotrwałe przebywanie w morzu. Jednostka posiada również zaskakująco dobre – jak na okręt podwodny – właściwości morskie.
