Trałowiec typu Horyń (1945-1946) (8 szt.)
Z
uwagi na już dokonane wycofanie ze służby dwu trałowców oraz planowane
wycofanie dziewięciu następnych, pojawiła się potrzeba uzupełnienia tej klasy o
nowe okręty. Odpowiedzią na to zapotrzebowanie są prezentowane niżej jednostki.
Trałowce
eskadrowe typu Horyń zostały
zaprojektowane i zbudowane na bazie kolejnej wersji projektu uniwersalnego
PU-750, a konkretnie PU-750-3. W pewnym sensie, stanowią one rozwinięcie typu Odra (MSC-61 1940 PU-750-2).
Nie
będę się rozpisywał na temat danych taktyczno-technicznych nowych trałowców,
wszystko to można znaleźć w raporcie. Skupię się poniżej na zadaniach,
stawianych przed tymi okrętami. Głównym zadaniem jest oczywiście trałowanie na
akwenach oddalonych od baz macierzystych oraz zabezpieczenie przeciwminowe
konwojów i zespołów okrętów bojowych. Funkcjami dodatkowymi mogą być:

stawianie min, do 34 min kontaktowych, lub 28-30 niekontaktowych;

zwalczanie (po osobnym przystosowaniu) OP, okręt ma możliwość zabrania na
pokład do 36 bg na dodatkowo zamontowanych zrzutniach rufowych;

przyjmowanie na pokład rozbitków z zatopionych statków i okrętów (od 40 do 80
osób).
