Pierwsze
jednostki wcielone do floty po roku 1918! Jest to 9 niewielkich trałowców
nazywanych zwykle redowymi, których budowa rozpoczęła się jeszcze w czasie
Wielkiej Wojny. Będą miały teraz mnóstwo pracy, bo powojenny Bałtyk jest nafaszerowany
minami jak dobre ciasto rodzynkami.
Etykietka trałowców redowych może być myląca, stosunkowo duży zasięg i bardzo
dobre właściwości morskie umożliwiają tym niewielkim przecież okrętom działanie
w zasadzie na całym Bałtyku. Choć nie uwzględniono tego w raporcie, w razie
potrzeby okręt może wziąć na pokład 20 min lub taką samą liczbę bomb
głębinowych (w drugim przypadku jest możliwość zamontowania szumonamiernika). Pregoła jest pierwszym w naszej
flocie okrętem bojowym napędzanym dieslowskimi silnikami wysokoprężnymi. Wielkością i parametrami taktyczno-technicznymi przypomina trochę typ Jaskółka
(1935) z realnej PMW.
