Kanonierki desantowe typów Wezuwiusz 1944 (8 szt.) i Orizaba 1944 (4 szt.)
Przedstawiam
– wcześniej już awizowane – kanonierki desantowe. Oficjalna nazwa tej podklasy
to okręt artyleryjskiego wsparcia desantu, kod LSG. Zakłada się, że każdej
lądującej brygadzie piechoty morskiej będzie przydzielonych 6 kanonierek, 4
typu Wezuwiusz i 2 typu Orizaba. Nie jest to – oczywiście –
„święta zasada”, lokalne potrzeby mogą spowodować zmiany w zakładanych
przydziałach.
Dla
oszczędności czasu, wykorzystano projekt kadłuba i napędu średnich okrętów
desantowych typu Dąbie (LSM-9 1939).
Konieczne jednak były pewne zmiany; zlikwidowano furty dziobowe, usunięto
kotwice zawoźne wraz z windami kotwicznymi, dodano lekkie opancerzenie,
zaprojektowano nowe maszty, zamontowano radiodalocelowniki i wzbogacono
wyposażenie radionawigacyjne. W z związku ze zmianą funkcji, niezbędne było
przeprojektowanie części wnętrz kadłuba, m.in. dla umieszczenia w nim komór
amunicyjnych. Tyle informacji ogólnych,
poniżej szczegółowy opis poszczególnych typów.
Na
początek typ Wezuwiusz. Prócz ww.
zmian, zainstalowano na okręcie trzy podwójne stanowiska dział DP 105 mm
oraz cztery ciężkie moździerze 210 mm. Użyte zostały działa 105 mm wz.1920
(modernizowane w 1937), wcześniej zdemontowane z innych jednostek, w związku z
zastępowaniem ich przez stabilizowane działa wz.1939. Zadaniem tych dział jest
zwalczanie na atakowanym brzegu siły żywej, stanowisk lekkiej artylerii i broni
maszynowej oraz ziemno-drewnianych umocnień polowych. Dodatkowo mogą wzmacniać
obronę plot lądujących wojsk. Zupełną nowością w naszej flocie jest montaż na
okręcie zasadniczo lądowych ciężkich moździerzy odtylcowych. Przeznaczone są
one do niszczenia cięższej artylerii, umocnień stałych oraz innych celów
zakrytych, niedostępnych dla artylerii płaskotorowej.
Zmiany
spowodowały zwiększenie zanurzenia okrętu o ok. 0,1 m, a co za tym idzie,
zwiększenie wyporności z 936 do 985 tn i zmniejszenie prędkości maksymalnej z
14,0 do 13,9 w.

ciężar salwy burtowej w raporcie nie uwzględnia moździerzy.

zainstalowana tylko jedna, lecz ciężka 2-działowa wieża 203 mm. Przeznaczona
jest do zwalczania nadbrzeżnej oraz polowej artylerii wroga, a także umocnień
stałych.
Obciążenie
kadłuba ciężką artylerią spowodowało zwiększenie zanurzenia okrętu o ok. 0,3 m, a
co za tym idzie, zwiększenie wyporności z 936 do 1104 tn i zmniejszenie
prędkości maksymalnej z 14,0 do 13,7 w. Z uwagi na ciężar amunicji do dział 203
mm, zmniejszono zapasy paliwa, a więc i zasięg z 12 750 do 10 100 Mm.
