Czwarta generacja ścigaczy torpedowych i artyleryjskich. Główną różnicą w stosunku do poprzednich typów jest inny sposób zabudowy wt na ścigaczach torpedowych. Wyrzutnie te mają możliwość ponownego załadowania w warunkach bojowych, przewożonymi na pokładzie torpedami zapasowymi.
Nowością jest też wyposażenie prezentowanych jednostek w wytwornice sztucznego dymu do tworzenia zasłony dymnej. Zamierzam urządzenie to montować również na innych okrętach, przede wszystkim torpedowcach i niszczycielach. Wytwornice takie mogą okazać się bardzo przydatne, szczególnie w przypadku okrętów o napędzie spalinowym, gdzie nie ma możliwości uzyskania naturalnego dymu o odpowiedniej objętości i gęstości.
Jeden dywizjon (1 SA i 4 ST) będzie stacjonować na Bałtyku, dwa na Antylach, a jeden na Pembie.
Ewentualne następne generacje nie będą się zbytnio różnić od tej; w każdym razie wyporność nie przekroczy 100 tn, a uzbrojenie raczej nie ulegnie zmianie. Ponieważ jednostki tej generacji przedstawiają typ dużego, „pełnomorskiego” ścigacza, planuję w przyszłości budowę mniejszych, typowo przybrzeżnych ścigaczy o wyporności ok. 30-40 tn, być może z wyrzutniami kalibru 457 mm. Będzie to osobna linia rozwojowa z własną numeracją generacji.
