powiększone i wyraźnie silniej uzbrojone rozwinięcie typu Śniardwy (LSM-1 1935). Okręt jest w stanie przewieźć i wysadzić na
nieprzygotowany brzeg w dowolnym regionie świata 400 żołnierzy z oporządzeniem
oraz dodatkowo do 250 t zaopatrzenia.
Na
jednostkach typu Dąbie
„zadebiutowało” nowe, automatyczne działo kalibru 57 mm. Model ten – podobnie
jak niedawno prezentowane, stabilizowane działo półautomatyczne 105 mm –
stanowi niewątpliwie nową jakość w arsenale naszej floty. Działo to (montowane
wyłącznie na stanowiskach podwójnych) może - prócz obrony plot – zapewnić
również stosunkowo skuteczne wsparcie lądującym oddziałom, niszcząc siłę żywą,
stanowiska boni maszynowej, moździerzy itp., a nawet lekkie schrony polowe. Nie
można także pominąć demoralizującego wpływu gęstego i skoncentrowanego
ognia na żołnierzy wroga; wystrzelone tylko z samego stanowiska dziobowego ok.
100 pocisków w ciągu minuty musi robić wrażenie.
W
moich zamierzeniach, działo to będzie zastępować na niektórych przyszłych
typach okrętów czy to działka 40, czy to 75 mm. Szczegółowe charakterystyki
omawianego modelu przedstawię w najbliższym, osobnym poście.
Co
do samego okrętu nie będę się rozpisywać, bo musiałbym w większości powtarzać
sformułowania opisu typu Śniardwy.
Zwrócę jedynie uwagę na bardzo dobrą dzielność morską tej nietypowej przecież z
uwagi na kształt kadłuba jednostki.
