Stawiacz min typu Tryton 1928-1929 (3 szt.)
Ponieważ
stawiacze min typu Nereusz (zostały
już tylko dwa) kończą swoją „karierę” w naszej flocie, zamówiono ich następców,
których właśnie prezentuję. Są to następne okręty z projektu uniwersalnego
PU-900.
Jednostka
– jak to z projektami typowymi bywa – jest bardzo podobna do swoich „kuzynów” i
różni się od nich tylko częściowo uzbrojeniem (miny) i nieznacznie szybkością.
Przeznaczona jest w zasadzie do działań na Bałtyku i ewentualnie Morzu
Północnym.
Uzbrojenie
artyleryjskie pozwala nie bać się pojedynczych dozorowców nieprzyjaciela, a w
przypadku ich przewagi liczebnej, prędkość zapewnia możliwość uchylenia się od
walki. Zapewne „odjechane” :) środki
obrony plot są prawie identyczne do zamontowanych na pozostałych okrętach tego
projektu.

W związku
z wprowadzeniem do służby okrętów tego typu, wycofane zostają starsze: Okeanos (ML-1 1909) i Glaukos
(ML-2 1909). Pierwszy z tych okrętów zakupiła Litwa za kwotę 128 tys. zł, a
drugi Chiny za kwotę 102 tys. zł (z umownym rabatem).
