klasa okrętów w naszej flocie; małe, niepozorne, chyba zgrabne, ale na pewno bardzo
pożyteczne jednostki. Ich zadaniem jest zapewnienie bezpiecznej, wolnej od min
żeglugi na podejściach do baz, redach i zamkniętych akwenach przybrzeżnych.
Dodatkowo, okręciki te mogą zwalczać nieprzyjacielskie OP, które ośmieliły się
podejść tak blisko naszego wybrzeża.
W związku
z dodatkową funkcją zwalczania OP, kutry posiadają dość silne uzbrojenie
artyleryjskie. Prędkość - z tej samej przyczyny - jest również większa niż
wymagałoby tego samo trałowanie. Właściwości morskie – jak na okręcik tej
wielkości i obszar działania – są całkiem zadowalające.
Należy spodziewać się w przyszłości większej ilości
jednostek tego typu, również w koloniach.
