Budowa kolumbijskich ścigaczy OP typu C-8 1945 (3 jednostki)
Trzeci typ
kolumbijskich ścigaczy OP, po typach C-1
i Mosquete. Ich głównym zadaniem jest
patrolowanie, wykrywanie i zwalczanie nieprzyjacielskich OP w niezbyt dużej
odległości od wybrzeża (circa do 250
Mm), szczególnie w ważniejszych rejonach własnej żeglugi kabotażowej oraz dalszych
podejściach do własnych baz i portów handlowych. Można je również wykorzystać
do eskortowania własnej żeglugi kabotażowej.
Pod względem
wielkości, prezentowane ścigacze plasują się pomiędzy poprzednimi typami, mają
jednak znacznie bogatsze wyposażenie radiotechniczne i hydroakustyczne.
Okręty budują
stocznie Astillero Naval No.2 w Guayaquil (2 jedn.) i Astillero Baranquilla (1
jedn.). Wszystkie
dostawy, za wyjątkiem radaru SL,
zapewnia przemysł krajowy.
Opis techniczny.

Stałych
urządzeń kierowania ogniem brak.
Inne
Na okręcie zainstalowano: trzy
radiostacje, radionamiernik, radionamiernik HF/DF, szumonamiernik, sonar oraz
radar kontroli powierzchni wody i nawigacyjny SL.
